Explore locationJoin Barclays as a Payments Specialist, in this nine-month fixed term contract, where you will play a key role in overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payment‑related activities across corporate actions and private‑equity events. In this role, you will manage daily workflows, coordinate information across multiple stakeholders, and ensure all instructions, reconciliations, and client communications meet the highest operational and control standards. You will act as a subject‑matter expert, supporting process improvements, system enhancements, and testing of new functionalities while maintaining strong relationships with bankers, custodians, shared‑service teams, and clients.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with:
Strong expertise in a similar operations role, with deep knowledge of corporate actions and related payment processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, enabling you to coordinate effectively across internal and external partners.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring smooth end‑to‑end processing.
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving, supporting accurate event setup, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
Fluency in English, ensuring clear communication and documentation.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Working knowledge of Avaloq, which would support efficient processing and system navigation.
Experience with reconciliation workflows, helping you manage cash and securities differences effectively.
Familiarity with private‑equity event processing, including capital calls, distributions, and fund‑related corporate actions.

This role is based in Geneva.
