Market Data Operations Analyst

Join us at Barclays as a Market Data Analyst. In this role, you will join a global Market Data team operating across Glasgow and New York, supporting the management, oversight, and optimisation of Barclays' market data services and spend. You will play a key role in ensuring the effective administration of market data access, monitoring vendor services, and supporting the operational processes that underpin the firm's market data environment.

The role involves working closely with internal stakeholders, reviewing market data usage, analysing spend trends, and supporting the governance of external service providers, including oversight of market data management platforms such as Calero. This role requires a highly organised individual with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately within established controls and approval processes.

To be successful as a Market Data Analyst you should have:

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple business areas.

• Experience working with market data, including analysing usage, spend, and trends.

• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of Pivot Tables and data analysis techniques.

• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when reviewing invoices, validating data, and operating within approval processes.

• The ability to manage multiple operational tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Some other highly valued skills/experience include:

• Experience creating professional presentations using PowerPoint.

• Experience identifying opportunities to automate and improve operational processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Purpose of the role

To partner with key stakeholders and forums to oversee Procurement service delivery, provide advice and develop procurement strategy to meet both the needs of the business and Procurement.

Accountabilities

• Development & implementation of the wider Procurement strategy in collaboration with stakeholders and Procurement domains.
• Implementation of the procurement strategy aligned to the bank’s objectives and relevant regulators, through the prioritisation and use of Procurement resources.
• Provide expertise on Procurement policies and procedures, third party risk, sourcing strategy and supplier relations to business stakeholders through education.
• Act as a point of escalation for Procurement service and delivery issues for business stakeholders.
• Act as the primary interface for Procurement with senior stakeholders in the business, developing & utilising relationships and influence to deliver improvements in key indicators and objectives.
• Identification of & where applicable, delivery of opportunities for business cost savings, client experience, service improvement & Procurement efficiency.
• Voice of the business with Procurement domains, developing and utilising relationships & influence to impact Procurement service delivery.
• Provide insights and actionable intelligence to business stakeholders to support business decision making to improve the commercial & risk profile of the business.
• Support the business with strategic activity acting as the Procurement representative for key business change programmes, acquisitions and divestments.
