In this role, you will join a global Market Data team operating across Glasgow and New York, supporting the management, oversight, and optimisation of Barclays' market data services and spend. You will play a key role in ensuring the effective administration of market data access, monitoring vendor services, and supporting the operational processes that underpin the firm's market data environment.
The role involves working closely with internal stakeholders, reviewing market data usage, analysing spend trends, and supporting the governance of external service providers, including oversight of market data management platforms such as Calero. This role requires a highly organised individual with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately within established controls and approval processes.
To be successful as a Market Data Analyst you should have:
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple business areas.
Experience working with market data, including analysing usage, spend, and trends.
Advanced Excel skills, including the use of Pivot Tables and data analysis techniques.
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when reviewing invoices, validating data, and operating within approval processes.
The ability to manage multiple operational tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Some other highly valued skills/experience include:
Experience creating professional presentations using PowerPoint.
Experience identifying opportunities to automate and improve operational processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as market data analysis, stakeholder management, operational effectiveness, attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication, alongside role-specific technical skills.
This role is based in Glasgow.
Purpose of the role
To partner with key stakeholders and forums to oversee Procurement service delivery, provide advice and develop procurement strategy to meet both the needs of the business and Procurement.
