Operational Resilience Risk Manager
Glasgow

As a Barclays Operational Resilience Risk Manager, you will be part of the Operational Risk team within the Risk function. You will be part of the team that owns and manages Barclays’ Operational Risk Framework, which sets out how operational risks are identified, assessed, and managed across the Group. Operational Risk focuses on potential or actual impacts to the Group resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems, or from an external event.

What will you be doing?
•    Being responsible for reporting into the Global Head of Operational Resilience, you’ll identify, oversee and manage a complete bank wide response to Resilience risk
•    Working collaboratively with the Resilience Risk SME and other Risk SME leads to ensure all aspects of resilience risk are adequately and consistently considered
•    Contributing to the design and implementation of resilience frameworks, as well as the ongoing effective management of Resilience risk across the bank.
•    Being responsible for providing specialist risk content expertise and reviewing / challenging 1st Line management on their assessment of Resilience Risk
•    Collaborating with colleagues in Operational Risk & Global Leadership Team  to execute strategic objective and plans of Operational Risk & Resilience Risk function
•    Attending  key risk and control meetings in respect to the Operational Resilience Planning risk category and Resilience theme as appropriate

What we’re looking for:
•    A good understanding and experience working with both operational risk and operational resilience including the components of an OR framework
•    Relevant regulatory requirements, and some Policy / Standard experience 
•    Ability to work with autonomy and have experience of managing a number of projects / tasks concurrently to meet deadlines and stakeholder requirements
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to communicate and influence at all levels in the business, including presenting at Senior Management level
