To be successful as a Specialist Investment Operations, you should have:
- Proven experience managing complex investment products, such as Alternative Investments, Private Equity, Derivatives, or Structured Products.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and build effective partnerships across senior levels.
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making capabilities, particularly in high-risk and time-sensitive situations.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, delivery, and driving change initiatives aligned to broader business objectives.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, precision, and consistently high-quality outputs.
Other highly valued skills include:
- Strong knowledge of global financial markets, including capital markets, derivatives, private markets, and OTC products.
- Understanding of financial services regulations (e.g., SRD2, CASS, CBI, JFSC, GCMA, Companies Act).
- Experience delivering strategic change, including automation and process optimisation initiatives.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, CA, or IOC.

This role is based in Glasgow, with a hybrid working model of working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Accountabilities
- Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
- Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
