Explore locationThe Head of Agriculture leads c.100 colleagues covering the UK, supporting 38,000 Agricultural clients with exposure from £25k to £50m and lending balances of £5bn. Barclays are one of the largest banks in this sector and were the first Agricultural bank in the UK, with 1 in 4 farming clients choosing to bank with Barclays. The business focuses on all Agricultural sectors and Landed Estates as a key segment, working to ensure we continue to grow our presence in the UK market. This role is also the Barclays face of the Agricultural sector externally, ensuring connections with DEFRA and industry bodies to ensure that there is a clear understanding of the opportunities and risks for Barclays to support clients.
Purpose of the role
To manage relationship management initiatives and set the strategic direction. Provide support to the bank's senior management team, and to manage product development risk across the organisation.
