Explore locationJoin us as a Barclays Internal Audit AVP - Markets Macro. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide independent and reliable assurance to executive management and the Board on governance, risk management, and control effectiveness. You will also contribute to audit planning and execution, risk assessment, control evaluation, and issue resolution. You’ll deliver high-quality audit observations and support the development of actionable recommendations to improve business processes.
To be successful as a Barclays Internal Audit AVP - Markets Macro, you should have:
Knowledge of data analytics, coding or machine learning techniques similar to Python or SQL
Audit experience in mid-to-large organizations or financial services familiarity through non-audit roles
Understanding of the regulatory environment
Proven written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement
Some other highly valued skills:
Knowledge of emerging financial products and services
Relevant professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or CISA
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be based in London.

To support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and complying with policies and procedures.
