Explore locationJoin the Business Banking team at Barclays as a Product and Proposition Manager where you will drive product innovation and transformation. In this role, you will focus on enhancing product journeys, with a particular emphasis on supporting small to medium-sized businesses. You will also work on continuously improving our offerings and ensuring these innovations are delivered through agile methodologies. A key part of this role is fostering an agile mindset to execute ideas efficiently and effectively.
To be successful as a Product and Proposition Manager, you should have:
Proven experience of driving product transformation.
Experience of product management approaches and frameworks to deliver customer centric products.
Proven experience of delivering customer outcomes at pace in an agile environment.
Deep technical acumen from delivering API based products and working directly with engineers on a daily basis.
Examples of having established rapid feedback loops, delivered incremental customer value, and dynamically prioritised a backlog based on data and results.
Experience of working with start-up businesses.
Ability to manage and deliver change.
Proven experience of working in agile environments and applying agile methodologies.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience in product innovation and execution strategies.
Knowledge of agile delivery frameworks.
Experience in matrix leadership of both virtual and office-based product teams.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role can be based in London, Knutsford, or Northampton.
Purpose of the role
To manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; and where applicable, ownership of related customer and colleague journeys, develops the product strategy, drive change through Barclays execution teams, make key decisions in the product lifecycle and own associated outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank, achieved through appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls.
