Explore locationJoin us as a Senior Employee Communications Manager (VP) to support across our UK divisions at Barclays. We’re looking for a talented and experienced individual to work as part of a highly skilled, respected and creative global team of Corporate Communications professionals. You’ll have extensive experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environment, and able to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders as their trusted communications consultant. You’ll be responsible for delivering impactful, strategic, and insight-driven communications. You’re passionate about translating business strategies into meaningful and compelling campaigns that resonate with employees.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Experience of working in financial or professional services preferred
Significant experience in Senior Employee Communications role
Experience of influencing and managing relationships at a senior level – we need candidates with brilliant stakeholder and relationship management skills
Ability to translate business objectives into compelling and engaging communications strategies and plans, using data and insight to influence and flex the approach
Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills
Ability to work at pace, with tight deadlines and a strong focus on execution
You can inspire and lead through others and enjoy working flexibly and collaboratively to get things done
Strong track record of creating and curating content across a range of channels
Business acumen and strategic thinking
Strong commercial understanding and awareness of external market/industry/regulatory issues
Familiarity with M365 apps and digital channels
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
Purpose of the role
To build strong and effective partnerships with the senior leadership of the organisation, advising on how to engage and influence employees to achieve the business’s goals, through an insight-based employee communications strategy, backed up with outstanding execution capability.
