The VP for UKC Executive Governance ensures disciplined, high‑quality governance that enables senior executives to make informed decisions and deliver strategic priorities. The role owns end‑to‑end governance operations for senior forums, drives action management, produces executive‑ready materials, and ensures transparent, well‑controlled decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Governance Operations & Committee Management:
- Own agendas, forward plans, prioritisation, sequencing and cadence for senior forums and reporting.
- Ensure reporting and committees operate in line with mandated governance standards and structures.
- Maintain a complete audit trail of papers, minutes, actions, decisions, and attendance.
Executive‑Ready Papers, Minutes & Communications:
- Produce concise, executive‑quality papers, minutes, decision logs, and MI analysis.
- Lead drafting, quality assurance, and timely distribution of all governance materials
Action Management & Delivery Oversight:
- Assign owners and deadlines, track progress, and escalate risks, delays, and blockers proactively.
- Provide structured updates on progress, interdependencies, and issues to governance forums.
Senior Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with Accountable Executives, Chiefs of Staff, COO, Controls, Finance, Risk, Legal and Compliance to shape agendas and ensure high‑quality decision flows.
- Support senior executives with strategic insight, analysis, scenario framing, and meeting preparation.
Risk, Control & Regulatory Alignment:
- Ensure governance outputs reflect risk management expectations, regulatory considerations, escalation protocols, and audit/compliance findings.
- Support SMR‑related responsibilities and the control environment for senior leaders.
To be successful as a UKC Business Manager – Governance, you will have:
- A strong track record supporting senior governance (forums and reporting) with high‑quality agendas, papers, minutes, and action discipline.
- Experience in Business Management, Chief of Staff or COO roles, handling sensitive matters with discretion.
- Deep understanding of governance frameworks, risk and controls, regulatory expectations, and committee operations.
- Highly organised, deadline‑driven, able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Operates with strong judgement, confidentiality, and a solutions‑focused mindset.
