The Commercial Performance AVP at Barclays supports the delivery of sustainable revenue growth and improved commercial outcomes across assigned business lines by providing strategic performance insights, financial analysis, and decision-support. The role partners closely with senior business stakeholders, finance, product, and distribution teams to monitor performance against targets, identify growth opportunities, and drive commercial optimization. You will be responsible for analyzing revenue trends, client profitability, pricing effectiveness, and product performance, translating data into actionable insights that inform business strategy.

To be successful as a Commercial Performance AVP, you should have experience with:

  • Commercial and financial acumen within banking or financial services

  • Utilizing Salesforce to manage pipeline activity, analyze performance metrics, and deliver accurate reporting to support commercial decision‑making

  • Proficiency in understanding P&L and commercial performance

  • Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience translating insights into business actions

  • Proven stakeholder management skills across senior and cross-functional partners

This role is located in the New York, NY office.

Minimum Salary: $100,000

Maximum Salary: $150,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To provide financial expertise and support to various departments and business units within the organisation by the gathering, analysis and interpretation of financial data to inform investment decisions, assess financial risks, and support strategic planning.  

Accountabilities

  • Evaluation of investment opportunities and potential risks through in-depth research on companies, industries and market trends, and preparation of investment recommendations and reports for investment committees.
  • Preparation of short-term and long-term financial forecasts to inform strategic planning and decision making.
  • Monitoring financial risks and provision of regular reports to senior colleagues and the board of directors.
  • Collection, analysis and interpretation of financial data to prepare financial reports, dashboards and presentations conveying financial insights for stakeholders.
