Explore locationAs an Electronic Trading - Equities Quant Research AVP, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing quantitative models that drive our equity trading execution algorithms. You will work closely with traders, technologists, and fellow researchers to translate market insights into robust, data-driven execution strategies. In this role, you will conduct deep analysis of market microstructure and trading behavior to improve execution quality and reduce transaction costs. You will have significant opportunity to influence trading performance through rigorous research and practical model deployment.
To be successful as an Electronic Trading - Equities Quant Research AVP, you should have:
Practical knowledge of modern statistical learning techniques
Knowledge of Python and the related data science ecosystem
Ability to effectively communicate research ideas and results through well-written reports and clear data visualizations
Working knowledge of KDP/ language Q
Strong engineering/development background is a plus
Some highly valued skills include:
High attention to detail in creating high-quality scientific research on algorithmic execution
Prior experience with equity trading algorithms
Knowledge of US market microstructure
Experience handling and analyzing large volumes of tick-level data

This role is located in New York.
Minimum Salary: $125,000
Maximum Salary: $175,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

To provide quantitative and analytical expertise to support trading strategies, risk management, and decision-making within the investment banking domain, applying quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, and technology to optimise trading and investment opportunities.
