Embark on a transformative journey as a Program Management Office Lead. At Barclays, our vision is clear –to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. As a PMO Lead within the Central CRES PMO Practice, you will play a key role in the delivery of the CRES & Location Strategy project at 745 7th Avenue, ensuring alignment to scope, budget, and quality standards. You will lead PMO activities across multiple CRES workstreams, enabling project teams to execute effectively. In addition, you will support the evolution of the PMO practice by strengthening frameworks, enhancing tools, and driving consistency, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all CRES programs.

To be successful as a Program Management Office Lead, you should have:

  • Experience supporting global real estate workstreams and PMO for large programs in regulated financial environments

  • Exposure leading PMO teams, with Project Management qualification or equivalent

  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, in roles across a large complex organization, to generate feedback, support and energy associated with their subject matter

  • Proficiency in risk, governance, and control environments

  • Ability to analyze issues, interpret data, and resolve problems collaboratively

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience of working in large financial services organizations/banks

  • Experience with defining and implementing new frameworks and processes in a large organization

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to produce documents of clear information appropriate for senior management

Minimum Salary: $155,000

Maximum Salary: $225,000

Purpose of the role

Accountabilities

  • Scope Management: Oversees a collection of related projects that together aim to achieve broader strategic business objectives. Their focus is on the long-term benefits and ensuring the alignment of projects with the organization’s goals.
  • Strategic Focus: Focuses on strategic, high-level outcomes. They are responsible for the overall success and continuous alignment of projects to the organization’s business strategy.
  • Time Horizon: Typically works over a longer time horizon, as programs may span months or years and involve multiple phases and projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manages a wide range of stakeholders across various projects, including executives, project managers, and external clients. They ensure communication and alignment across all projects within the program.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Manages risks and issues at a higher level, focusing on cross-project dependencies and potential impacts on the broader program or business strategy..
  • Resource Management: Responsible for allocating resources across multiple projects, balancing priorities, and ensuring that resources are used efficiently across the program.
  • Financial Management: Manages the overall program budget, tracking the financial health of multiple projects and ensuring that the program as a whole delivers value.
  • Metrics: Measures success based on the cumulative benefits delivered by all the projects within the program. They look at business outcomes, value creation, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Change Management: Deals with change at a macro level, ensuring that changes across projects are managed cohesively and don’t negatively impact the overall program.
