Join us as a Structured Derivative Sales AVP at Barclays where you’ll play a crucial role in pricing structured products for Broker Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor clients. You will also be responsible for managing all the operational tasks that comes along with that, such as working with the legal team to draft the deal prospectuses, working with back-office teams to ensure a seamless issuance process. In addition, you will provide data to multiple 3rd party platforms that help advisors learn about structured products.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job specific technical skills.

To be successful in this role you need a deep understanding of derivative products, including options, swaps, and other structured products, demonstrated success in selling complex financial instruments within the structured derivatives space.

Additional relevant experience in working within investment banks or financial institutions with exposure to structured derivatives sales, and understanding

of specific asset classes such as equities, fixed income, or foreign exchange derivatives are welcomed.

Salary / Rate Minimum: 125,000

Salary / Rate Maximum: 175,000

 The minimum and maximum salary/ rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This role is based in New York.


Purpose of the role

To develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and achieve revenue targets. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
  • Presentation and pitching of financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements.
  • Liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of client requests.
  • Stay updated on market trends, financial products, and industry regulations.
  • Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to provide clients with insights and market updates.
  • Negotiation of terms and agreements with clients to finalise sales transactions.
