You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as:
Support various Financial Crime processes, which might include though not limited to payments / sanctions screening, adverse media screening and other AML related processes.
Ensure compliance with Barclays Group Sanctions Policy and with Barclays Regulatory responsibilities in respect of the fight against Financial Crime.
Key leadership role by coaching analysts, challenging poor‑quality outcomes, and embedding a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement across Payments Screening operations.
Drives data‑led quality oversight, performing trend and root‑cause analysis, monitoring QC trackers and SLAs, and presenting clear insights in quality forums and governance reviews.
Desirable skills sets:
Responsible for development, delivery, and maintenance of an effective Operational Risk Control environment to covering all aspects of Functional operational risk.
Ensures strong quality and regulatory control over sanctions‑related payment decisioning.
Deep knowledge of sanctions policies, screening alerts, escalation standards, and risk classification, along with accountability for maintaining QC quality thresholds, analyst accreditation, and decision consistency.
Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
