Step into the role of a Product Manager. At Barclays, we’re more than a bank – we’re a force for progress. You will be ensuring smooth delivery of the Group Model Database (GMD) monthly releases and backlog is fully prioritized and that the top priority items which have the largest impact make it into the release. You will be involved in the requirements gathering process to ensure that deliveries are aligned to the Model Risk Policies, Standards and Procedures or any other regulatory requirements that are pertinent. You will be working closely with the Head of Infrastructure Delivery & Architecture to help Model Risk Management achieve its strategic vision for GMD (Group Model Database). You will be providing data analytics and insights to provide an informed view to assist with determining the optimum strategic solution. You will be engaged with the End User base, Model Risk Stakeholders and the GMD (Group Model Database) Technical delivery team.

Key skills required for this role include:

  • Deep knowledge about Model Risk policy and standards – controls around it.  
  • Ability to translate data and analysis into compelling insights, recommendations, and conclusions.
  • Managing stakeholders, sometimes with conflicting motivations, and the ability to adapt style accordingly.
  • A successful track record of delivering complex projects and/or programmes, utilizing appropriate techniques and tools to ensure and measure success.
  • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change.
  • Managing end user workshops to illicit user requirements that help feed strategic design and ensure value is delivered for the User Base.
  • Exposure to Policy and Standards or Regulatory driven platform requirements.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Managing UAT testing and maintenance of a product/application.
  • Working with or delivering AI related products / process improvements.
  • Good understanding of the organizational structure and basic knowledge of the full range of business disciplines e.g. Compliance, Operations, Service, Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, HR, and Risk amongst others.

This role is based in our Noida location.

Purpose of the role

To design, build, maintain, and support the infrastructure that underpins the development, deployment, and execution of risk models across the organisation. 

Accountabilities

  • Design and implementation of scalable and secure infrastructure solutions for risk model development, deployment, and execution.
  • Implementation of security best practices to protect the integrity and confidentiality of risk model data and systems.
