The chance to make an impact
As an Off-Cycle Analyst, you’ll be surprised by what you can achieve. Your internship starts with intensive training that gives you an essential platform for gaining skills and knowledge. Then you’ll head to your desk, where you’ll get to grips with the intricacies of the global markets and follow a structured programme that includes project-based work. Through our off-cycle programme, you will have the chance to have more in-depth exposure to projects, compared to our summer internships; thus, expanding your overall knowledge and skill in this role.

Through your desk assignments, you’ll develop a solid understanding of the global markets, building your communication, quantitative and analytical skills. You may:
• Research industries or products, reporting summary information to your team
• Monitor markets and help formulate trade ideas
• Perform various analyses on fundamental and technical data
• Attend client meetings or calls with traders, salespeople and research colleagues.

Who we're looking for
To be considered for this programme, you must be in your penultimate or final year of your degree in any discipline. Language requirements: fluent in English, desirable in French, German, Italian, Spanish or other.

Ideally you’ll have a keen interest in business and finance with an a curiosity to learn.

Purpose of the role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the markets division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for the global markets division.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participation in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for the global markets division.
  • Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making in the global markets division.
  • Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.

  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information.
  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.
