Explore locationThe role is for a member in the Direct Access team for Barclays Private Bank in Singapore. The role holder will be expected to provide direct client coverage for execution across structured products, equities, fixed income, and OTC derivatives during the European trading hours.
To be successful for the role, candidates should possess the following skills or experience:
At least 5 years in a client facing role, multi-asset trade execution across structured products, equities, fixed income, and OTC derivatives covering Europe trading hours
Proficient with Avaloq, Lexifi, FinIQ, Bloomberg (EMSX & TSOX) and MarketAxess platforms
Candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach and work with integrity; willingness and capability to drive new businesses with a high degree of independence / responsibility are essential
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is regulated by Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Purpose of the role
To support clients during the life cycle of their trade, from order entry to settlement. Take client trade instructions, resolve issues/queries related to client trading activities, assist with external and internal client queries, and work with colleagues across the business to deliver excellent investment servicing for clients.
Accountabilities
Trade Capture: Responsible for taking client trade instructions across various asset types (e.g. Equities, Fixed Income, Funds inc. ETFs) and follow process to capture those trades in Barclays systems
Responsible for achieving world class client service in accordance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and key business drivers
Operations / Settlement / Trade Placement Liaison: Know the relevant teams to engage within the internal end to end process of each investment type, so as to ensure that internal and external clients know the status of any trade, or any matter related to the life cycle of their investment. Be able to explain or relay to a client information relating to the asset types supported by the team, from either their own pool of knowledge or by contacting the relevant parties within the business to find the best resolutions and answers for our clients.
Risk Mitigation: Prioritisation of order entry based on type, size, and market conditions; Reporting on transactions that are deemed to be suspicious, including potential market abuse. Adherence to Advice boundaries; Reviewing and updating procedures; Meeting service levels and quality benchmarks.
