Embark on a transformative journey as an Enterprise & Capital Risk - AVP at Barclays. The overall purpose of your role is to help manage the coverage of weekly and quarterly production on stress testing activities for the trading portfolio within the Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”). You will assist with the production for data analysis on trading book activities, issue remediation, and financial regulatory stress testing reporting related to mark-to-market (“MTM”) and issuer default loss (“IDL”) stress tests. You will also ensure reconciliation between systems, review gaps and remediation plans are complete, and ensure accurate risk capture in reporting. Your role will help coordinate with multiple upstream and downstream teams to ensure smooth handshake and timely delivery of financial stress testing reports to satisfy regulatory and capital planning requirements.

To be successful as an Enterprise & Capital Risk - AVP, you should have experience with:

  • Financial regulatory requirement in CCAR GMS 14Q/A schedules

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrable data analysis skills

  • Basic knowledge of market risks of trading activities across all asset classes

  • Basic knowledge of financial regulatory requirements, especially in stress testing

  • Ample communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience, and follow up issues with multiple upstream and downstream teams

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience/knowledge in database and/or programming, e.g. SQL, Python

  • Experience/knowledge in data analysis and visualization tools, e.g. Tableau

  • Ability to work independently and coordinate across to teams to ensure deadlines are met

This role is located in our Whippany, NJ office.

Minimum Salary $100,000

Maximum Salary $160,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To develop and implement, and execute robust stress testing frameworks, methodologies and processes to assess the bank's capital adequacy under external or internal macroeconomic/ financial stress scenarios.

Accountabilities

  • Development and implementation of stress testing methodologies aligned with regulatory and MRM requirements and best practices.
  • Identification and development of relevant risk scenarios reflecting potential economic, market, geopolitical and non-financial (i.e operational, compliance) threats, subject to role scenario design specialist.
  • Application of stress testing models to assess the impact of scenarios on the bank's capital, net earnings, and liquidity.
  • Analysis and interpretation of stress testing results.
  • Delivery and management of Risk Identification for applicable regions through local governance.
  • Execution and management of end to end delivery of regulatory reporting processes for regions.
  • Delivery and management of risk appetite for local regions .
