About the role

Our two-year Developer Explorer Programme is divided into three rotations where you’ll tackle real-life projects using the latest technologies.

What to expect

You might find yourself working in Development & Engineering; Infrastructure; Cyber & Security; and Data Science & Analytics. Our Advanced Coding Boot Camp will hone your skills to a high level. This is all about realising your potential and finding the best place for your talents within Barclays Technology.

How you'll develop

You’ll learn continually, from start to finish – whether it’s the hard skills you need to be brilliant at your job, or the professional skills to be brilliant in a business of this size, we give you the essential learning experiences you need to play a full role in Barclays. At all times you’ll be supported by an experienced line manager and a talent coach who together will help you realise your potential and discover where you’d like your career journey to take you in Barclays. You’ll be surrounded by colleagues you can share with and learn from. You’ll get lifetime membership of our global graduate network, with exclusive access to content, events and forums to support you and help you develop. And you’ll get the opportunity to have an impact on the communities in which we live and work.

What’s more, you might qualify for a bursary towards your professional development. By the end of your programme you’ll have gained all the understanding and skills you need to move into a fulfilling permanent role.

Who thrives here

To make the most of this opportunity, you’ll be passionate about technology and able to code in at least one language. A STEM degree would be beneficial, but not essential. You’ll be curious and creative, adaptable and agile. You’ll be great at communicating and collaborating, competitive but caring. You’ll also be customer-obsessed, ready to develop a deep understanding of what we do, why we do it, and the role technology plays here.
