Explore locationBarclays is seeking a highly motivated full-time Associate Banker to join our International Corporate Banking team in Amsterdam. As an Associate Banker, you'll play a crucial part in helping to provide comprehensive Corporate & Investment Banking solutions, including financing, risk management, payments and liquidity solutions, to some of Europe’s largest corporations. You will support Relationship Bankers to build and maintain client relationships by understanding client needs, expectations and helping them achieve financial goals. You will liaise with internal product teams across Debt Capital Markets, Risk Management, Financing, Cash Management and others to provide the most effective solutions to our customers. Championing Energy Transition and Sustainability, you will support clients on their climate, transition strategies and sustainable finance opportunities.
Essential Skills:
Organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities at the same time.
Understanding professional ethics and the regulatory environment in a banking setting (ideally Corporate & Investment banking).
Demonstrating excellent oral/written communication and analytical skills. Fluent English is essential. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus).
Driving personal growth and career development with a strong desire to learn and succeed in a team environment.
Corporate Banking experience.
Knowledge of Corporate Banking products: Payments, Liquidity, FX, Transaction Management, Lending, Credit, Trade & Working Capital.
Financial and credit analysis.
Desirable skills and experience.
Experience with onboarding process for new clients or existing clients.
Experience working with product specialists and other internal teams.
Knowledge of compliance, Risk policies and procedures relating to credit conformance and regulatory, operational, legal risk and Financial Crime.
Proficiency in Dutch language would be an advantage.

This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
This role is located in Amsterdam.
