Basic/ Essential Qualifications:
Model Transformation & Standardisation – Experience in model documentation, gap analysis, identifying limitations, and delivering improved / standardised models aligned to target state frameworks.
• Automation & Efficiency Focus – Ability to streamline and automate manual processes within planning and modelling workflows.
• Controls & Governance Awareness – Strong appreciation of model controls, assumptions governance, auditability and risk standards.
• Data & Tools Proficiency – Advanced Excel skills with familiarity in data querying/analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, visualisation tools).
•Adaptability & Learning Agility – Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Desirable skillsets/ good to have:
Strong FP&A and Banking Product Knowledge – Proven experience in planning and forecasting across banking products (balances, margins, impairments), with a clear understanding of business drivers and financial linkages.
• Advanced Modelling & Analytical Capability – Ability to build, enhance and interpret financial models, with strong skills in structured modelling, scenario analysis and driver-based forecasting.
•Planning & Forecasting Delivery – Hands-on experience delivering planning cycles (e.g., MTP, forecasts, stress scenarios), ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment to CFO expectations.
•Business Partnering & Storytelling – Ability to translate financial insights into clear, actionable narratives for senior stakeholders, influencing outcomes and decision-making.
•Controls & Governance Mindset – Strong focus on model integrity, documentation, assumptions governance, and adherence to risk and control standards.
This role will be based out of Chennai office.
Purpose of the role
To provide financial expertise and support to specific business units or departments within the organisation, and act as a liaison between the finance function and various business units, helping to bridge the gap between financial data and business decisions.
