Explore locationJoin Barclays as VP, Wholesale Client Onboarding Subject Matter Expert, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering KYC Process Change & Regulatory objectives whilst providing a first-class service to stakeholders and customers. At Barclays, we don't just anticipate the future - we're creating it. You will have the opportunity to work in partnership with teams across TC1 and Barclays Group. Your role will be responsible for acting as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) representing WCOB (Wholesale Client Onboarding) on forums/projects. You will also be responsible for ensuring project deadlines are adhered to and support KYC teams where required with audit/compliance review.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Previous experience of AML/KYC gained within investment or corporate banking sector.
Experience of reviewing complex structures, PEPs and/or Sanctions screening.
Experience of using approved KYC vendor sources e.g. Dun and Bradstreet, Companies House, and others.
Legal knowledge in terms of corporate law and structure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Ideally qualified to Degree standard, preferably in a business/law related subject.
AML / Compliance Certification.
Cash Management – Cert ICM.
Knowledge of high-risk indicators and revision of complex structures and entity types.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is based in our Chennai office.
