Explore locationJoin us as a Barclaycard Payments Operations Manager in our Operations team. The Operations department plays a key role in the leadership, management, and operation of our independently licensed business. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing our internally outsourced service providers, while supporting the Head of Operations in handling the day-to-day business activities. This role is vital in ensuring we meet the needs of our European clients and comply with the expectations of the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).
To be successful as a Operations Manager, you should have experience with:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present to leadership and Board Directors.
Advanced stakeholder management capability
Proven understanding & experience of the regulatory landscape for financial services, particularly as it relates to outsourcing & Digital Operational Resilience
Solid analytical and problem solving skills, with high attention to detail
Good understanding of how the various functions of a licenced payment institution or similar business operates (Finance, Product, Sales, Risk, Compliance, Outsourcing, Operational Rigour and Audit).
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Be technologically literate (payments) and legally astute
Understanding of the payment/card acceptance and card issuing industry
Broad business and industry knowledge/experience
Experience in project or change management
This role is based in Dublin.

This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
Purpose of the role
To manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives and compliance with relevant regulators.
