Explore locationJoin us as a Tesco Bank – Senior Commercial Pricing Analyst – Loans where you'll be responsible for analysing the external lending market and competitive landscape to define optimal pricing strategies that balance profitability and volume growth. You will monitor performance through monthly financial reviews, assessing profit drivers, variances, and the impact of pricing decisions on business outcomes. This role involves deep analysis of pricing, market trends, and key financial metrics to continuously optimise loan pricing and commercial performance. You will also support new product launches and strategic activities by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
To be successful as a Tesco Bank – Senior Commercial Pricing Analyst – Loans, you must have the following essential skills:
Great analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
Commercial acumen, with an understanding of how pricing decisions impact profitability, risk, customer outcomes and business performance
Proficiency in SAS / SQL (or other programming language) and Excel for data analysis and modelling
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders (including Director and Managing Director level)
Great communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate insights and recommendations
Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, compelling messages tailored for non-technical audiences
Previous experience within financial services, ideally with exposure to lending or pricing environments
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience using Power BI for data visualisation and reporting
Financial acumen, with the ability to interpret and analyse key financial metrics
Experience working within large, complex organisations, with an understanding of corporate structures and processes
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role can be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.
