The Capital Markets division is intricately organised into specialised domains encompassing equity and debt origination, loans, structuring, risk management, and syndication. These functions operate within distinct business units such as: Debt Capital Markets, Risk Solutions Group, Equity Capital Markets, and Leveraged Finance and Syndicate. This sector presents a dynamic landscape of opportunities and challenges that arrive in diverse forms. Regardless of the specific area of internship, participants gain knowledge from industry experts, deeply engage with the company's culture, and actively contribute to tangible projects.

Throughout your off-cycle internship, you will have the privilege of learning from seasoned professionals, immersing yourself in the organisational culture, and actively participating in substantial projects. Your role may encompass tasks ranging from hands-on involvement in live deals and deal proposals to the preparation of compelling new business presentations, all while gaining insights into the intricacies of executing transactions.

Who we're looking for
To be considered for this programme, you must be in your penultimate or final year - in any discipline. Language requirements: fluent in English and German.

Ideally you'll have a keen interest in business and finance and an a curiosity to learn. We value resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirt, all of which might be showcased through your involvement in extracurricular activities.

Working in Frankfurt
Our new Frankfurt office is based in the heart of the new business district in the Taunus Turm. It boasts modern, collaborative workspaces and offers a gym, several different food outlets close by and direct access to a large park.

Purpose of the role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the capital markets division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for capital markets, advising a broad range of corporate clients, to deliver holistic, structured solutions.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participation in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for capital markets.
  • Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making in capital markets.
  • Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.
