Join us at Barclays in Cross Asset Solutions Sales where you will work across Markets with the team in Frankfurt. In role you will be responsible for originating, structuring, and distributing multi‑asset financial solutions to institutional clients. Your role spans a range of asset classes and products providing clients with tailored strategies for hedging, yield enhancement, financing, and investment and requires strong product knowledge, quantitative understanding, and the ability to translate complex market themes into actionable solutions. You will develop and maintain client relationships whilst working closely with structuring and trading teams to design bespoke solutions across asset classes and co-ordinate trade execution across desks.
To be successful in Cross Asset Solution sales you should have:
- Degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or related field
- Previous experience in sales, structuring or trading within investment banking
- Strong product knowledge across a range of complex products, e.g. repo, rates, structed rates, derivatives, margin loan hedging, FI syndication etc
- Proficiency in oral and written German and English Language
Other skills of value include:
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities with strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills
- Proficiency in Excel; Python or VBA
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for non‑technical clients
- Effective understanding of professional ethics and the regulatory environment

The position is based in our Frankfurt Office.
This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
Purpose of the role
To develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and achieve revenue targets.
Accountabilities
- Development and maintenance of relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
- Presentation and pitching of financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements.
- Liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of client requests.
- Stay updated on market trends, financial products, and industry regulations.
- Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to provide clients with insights and market updates.
- Negotiation of terms and agreements with clients to finalise sales transactions.
