GEDDS Analyst

Join us as a PEP/HR (Politically Exposed Person/High Risk) Analyst at Barclays, where you will support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

To be successful as a PEP/HR Analyst, you should have experience with:

• To have, or the ability to develop, a strong understanding of Financial Crime regulations and policies (Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption) and the ability to make recommendations for a customer case based on available evidence.

• Investigation/review and decision making experience with the ability to analyse complex data and have high attention to detail and high quality.

• Experience working in a regulated function such as Financial Crime, Client Assets Sourcebook, Anti-Money Laundering, Complaints, Pensions etc. Report writing and make decisions around case prioritisation and daily workload.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Good knowledge of operational risk requirements and standards applicable to the relevant processes and procedures.

• Be able to work on multiple work types concurrently and have the ability to switch focus based on priority and business needs.

• Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to influence others positively.

• Experience of involvement in change initiatives and projects, owning tasks/objectives through to completion.

This role is based in Glasgow.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

• Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
• Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
