Explore locationAs a Senior Talent Excellence Project Manager, you will play a key part in enhancing how we deliver talent management across Barclays, with a focus on elevating the impact of our Talent Excellence programme. You will take the lead on the workstream development, ensuring the successful delivery of strategic talent initiatives that align with our organisational goals. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, timelines, and plans keeping the programme on track and ensuring key milestones are delivered. You will lead the RFP (Request for Proposal) process, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify and implement the most effective solutions.
You will engage regularly with senior stakeholders, including members of the Group Executive Committee, to ensure alignment and secure buy-in. In this role, you will support the preparation of high-quality content and visuals for stakeholder meetings. You’ll be expected to confidently draft and produce materials.
You’ll also represent the workstream in meetings, delegate tasks effectively, and operate within a matrix management structure as part of the wider programme team. Your ability to collaborate, adapt, and communicate clearly will be essential to your success.
To be successful as a Senior Talent Excellence Project Manager you should have experience with:
• Proven track record of managing complex projects from design through to delivery, with considerable planning, coordination, and execution skills.
• Confident working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, building relationships and influencing outcomes through clear communication and collaboration.
• Ability to interpret data and insights to inform decisions, measure impact, and continuously improve talent initiatives.
• Solid understanding of core HR disciplines, particularly in areas such as performance management, succession planning, learning, and workforce development is desired.

This role is located from our Glasgow or London office.

To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
