To be successful as an Analyst, you should have experience of UK Regulatory Landscape requirements.

  • 4 years of prior regulatory reporting experience, specifically supporting PRA (UK) or EBA (Europe) regulatory submissions.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with regulatory template validations, including:
    • Understanding the reasoning behind specific validations that have triggered on regulatory templates.
    • Ability to interpret validation rules and messages.
    • Ability to analyse underlying data issues and identify clear actions to resolve and clear the validations from the templates.
  • Hands‑on experience with data lineage and data integrity, with a clear understanding of how data is sourced, transformed, and controlled across systems.
  • Working knowledge of key regulatory reporting concepts, such as:
    • Risk‑Weighted Assets (RWA)
    • Output Floor
    • Exposure values and credit risk measures
    • Capital ratios (e.g., CET1, Total Capital)
    • Counter‑cyclical Capital Buffer (CCyB) rates
    • Mark‑to‑Market (MTM) and valuation‑driven metrics etc.
  • Clear understanding of reporting data dictionary concepts, including how definitions, business rules, and data mappings are created, documented, and maintained.
  • Good understanding of how banking and financial data flows into regulatory reporting systems, from upstream source systems through transformation layers and into regulatory templates.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Commerce, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related analytical discipline.
  • A post‑graduate qualification (MBA, PGDM, MSc in Finance / Risk / Analytics) is desirable but not mandatory, and relevant hands‑on regulatory reporting experience will be strongly valued.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Prior experience of working on a Basel 3.1 implementation or regulatory change project, particularly supporting transition from project to BAU.
  • Working knowledge of AXIOM, including:
    • How data flows from source systems into AXIOM.
    • How data is aggregated and calculated within the platform.
    • How regulatory templates are populated.
    • How reference data is created, maintained, and used in reporting.
  • Ability to work closely with Data Operations, Finance, Risk and Technology teams to investigate issues, support remediation, and improve data quality.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify data breaks, inconsistencies, or control gaps and support timely resolution.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as experience with Regulatory reporting tool like Axiom, as well as job-specific skillsets.

This role will be based out of Gurgaon.

Purpose of the role

To enable data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualisations and reports.

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement. 
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.
  • Through data-driven analysis, translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.
  • Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.
