Join Barclays as an Acquisitions and Divestitures, AVP, where you will support senior bankers on strategically significant M&A transactions. In this role, you’ll apply deep analytical skills and industry knowledge to help clients navigate critical acquisition and divestiture strategies and achieve value‑creating results.

To be successful as an Acquisitions and Divestitures, AVP you should have experience with:

  • Related Reservoir Engineering

  • Performing Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) and field development planning, including type curve generation, inventory evaluation and creating drill schedules

  • Working knowledge and understanding of Operations and Geoscience disciplines

Some highly valued skills include:

  • Prior work experience in an A&D team at an Exploration & Production company or in an Investment Bank

  • Preparing and reviewing Virtual Data Rooms related to buy-side and sell-side due diligence

  • Forecasting well production using Aries or Spotfire applications

  • Experience in coding in Python

Purpose of the role

To help clients with technical evaluation for acquisitions, divestitures and financial solutions to meet their business objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Analysis of technical (petroleum / reservoir engineering) data to provide inputs for financial model used to market client's asset, or help with investment opportunities.
  • Provision of engineering support for transactions, including drafting presentation materials, and preparing data room documents.
  • Collaboration with other team members in generating A&D / M&A ideas for clients.
  • Building / leveraging of network of industry contacts to stay informed about the technical aspects of the business, and leverage that knowledge for related pitch work and assignments.
  • To help clients with technical evaluation for acquisitions, divestitures and financial solutions to meet their business objectives.
