Project Manager
Radbroke

As a Barclays Project Manager, you will join our growing team and work on the Loan IQ program. It will be your accountability to manage the end-to-end project lifecycle. You will be engaging with and managing the expectations of senior stakeholders as well as mentoring and coaching junior members of the team. Further to this you will be required to ensure you manage all dependencies across the different work streams, which will be an integral part of the role. This is a pivotal role in the overall success of the project.

Barclays is one of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions, established in 1690, with a legacy of success, quality, and innovation. We offer careers that provide endless opportunity – helping millions of individuals and businesses thrive and creating financial and digital solutions that the world now takes for granted.

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

What will you be doing?
• Creating and managing the overall project plan, ensuring effective delivery in line with outcomes and the business case
• Ensuring all dependencies are managed correctly whilst accounting for future hurdles
• Building trusted partnerships across a wide range of stakeholders across different business areas
• Ensuring that that delivery encompasses all regulatory requirements and business outcomes
• Assisting the delivery team in the day to day work, providing coaching and mentorship where required
• Embracing constant change with the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure

What we’re looking for:
• Project/Programme management and Portfolio/Change Governance experience in a markets setting
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to form good relationships and work closely with multiple senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with ability to distill complex topics into a simple and clear narrative
• Previous experience working with tools used to manage delivery lifecycle progress within Wholesale lending, this includes MS Project, JIRA and Confluence

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Experience of working with various businesses and their respective risk and control functions within a financial institution
• Experience managing traceability to support review by internal audit and regulators
• Change management experience

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops
