Explore locationJoin us at Barclays as a Resilience Lead, where you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing resilience testing across critical banking systems. You will support data centre resilience exercises, cyber recovery validation, and the testing of rebuilt infrastructure environments, helping to ensure Barclays can effectively recover from technology and cyber disruption events. Working closely with global technology and infrastructure teams, you will drive recovery readiness and strengthen the bank's operational resilience capabilities.
To be successful as a Resilience Lead, you must have the following essential skills:
In depth awareness and testing experience of Technology Resilience Recovery, and Cyber Recovery, and industry resilience process and principles.
Strong experience and familiarity with business infrastructure components, and arrangements; including IT systems and business resilience process relationships.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across global technology infrastructure teams.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experienced in leading on Risk, Controls and Compliance across multiple flavours of infrastructure systems.
Appreciation of the variety of applications and infrastructure under test scope e.g. Applications; on-prem physical infrastructure based on Windows or Linux based platforms, applications and infrastructure based on virtual platforms/cloud environments, storage infrastructure like SAN/NAS, databases, Network components etc.
Test design and implementation - Ability to quantify the resilience test implementation duration, and complexity in terms of test case volumes, test scenarios, and priority of scenarios, depending on application type.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is based in Knutsford.
Purpose of the role
To manage the IT Services department and set the strategic direction, provide support to the bank's senior management team, and to manage IT Service risk across the organisation management of IT Services to support the banks operations and representing Technology service performance with senior stakeholders and managing IT service risk across the organisation.
