TWC provides working capital solutions to clients and non-clients across all segments of the UK market. The TWC product suite includes Trade Finance, Receivables Finance and Asset Based Lending products provided via a team of specialists across the UK.

What you will be doing

  • Lead and mentor a team of Relationship Directors, ensuring high performance in line with the Barclays Mindset
  • Translate business objectives into measurable actions and KPIs
  • Represent client management in senior leadership forums and contribute to business reviews
  • Help shape and execute the strategic agenda for client management within Invoice Finance and ABL
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices across client management
  • Oversee the management of a portfolio of Invoice Finance and ABL clients, ensuring strong relationships and retention. Portfolio’s typically comprise of customers with facility limits in excess of £15m
  • Act as escalation point for complex client issues and negotiations.
  • Maintain robust risk management practices
  • Collaborate with Credit, Operations, and Origination teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and lifecycle management.
  • Utilize data and trend analysis to identify areas for preventative controls and operational enhancements.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in within invoice financing and asset-based lending products, including legal documentation and transaction underwriting.
  • Strong background within Credit risk, including strong technical knowledge of collateral monitoring, covenant testing, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex client portfolios.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive innovative solutions.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to leverage KPIs and metrics for performance management.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
  • Track record of owning and delivering impactful projects in a regulatory environment.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Salesforce and financial analysis tools.

Desirable Skills:

  • Lending and corporate banking background.

Purpose of the role

To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and SME clients with regards the Sales Finance Working Capital solution, bridging the bank's offerings and clients' needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success. 

Accountabilities

  • Management of client relationships to identify the client's financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance to support growth, to help identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement to support client needs.
  • Research and understanding of the client's industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Management of the clients Sales Finance facility and servicing to ensure balance between Credit Risk and returns.
  • Communication of the value proposition of proposed solutions, justification of recommendations, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.
  • Provision of guidance to clients to support their financial decisions, offering expert product advice to ensure a positive and continuous relationship.
  • Assessment of financial, legal, credit and operational risks associated with client relationships, and implementation of measures to minimise potential losses.
  • Documentation of all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development, service offerings, and the overall bank strategy.
  • Monitoring of client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.
