Explore locationAs a Portfolio & Change Manager you will be supporting the product teams in data-led analysis of the optimisation including the management of our back-book securitisations to improve our overall risk and return profile. This role sits within Portfolio Management Unit. In this role you will be also performing analysis throughout the lifecycle of products including cashflow modelling, analysis and supporting in the securitisation deals aimed at improving the overall position of the Barclays balance sheet.
There are 2 roles, and you will be allocated to one of them. 1 requires knowledge of unsecured lending such as credit cards, loans and other requires knowledge of unsecured or secured lending.
To be successful as a Portfolio & Change Manager, you should have experience with
Essential criteria:
Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of secured and unsecured lending such as mortgages and credit cards.
Data analytics and business modelling capability -ability to deal with lots of data to undertake analysis of the portfolio.
Ability to connect the dots and articulate the impact of product actions on overall profitability and risk profile of the business.
Knowledge of accounting of these assets and accounting of securitisation and similar commercial transactions.
Transformation & execution of change: delivering short term - project management including working in an agile environment
Desirable criteria:
Ability to work across various departments in the organisation and to develop an understanding of risk, capital, financial, market, operational and liquidity constraints to unsecured portfolio.
Simplification mindset: both to improve turnaround time of analysis and proposed strategies. And in processes and procedures to transform & execute change.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role can be based in London or Northampton.
