We are seeking a highly motivated Product Analyst to join our Specialist Investment Management (SIM) team within Barclays PBWM. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced investment professionals across both equity and fixed income strategies in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The role holder will work closely with the Product Specialist to co-ordinate the delivery of the SIM strategies and proposition to internal and external stakeholders.
The role involves regular preparation of investment communications and client-facing materials, including support for client acquisition pitches, RFPs, and performance reviews. You will play a role in both the preparation and, in time, the delivery of presentations. The role holder will also contribute to product strategy initiatives and acquire a deep understanding of the competitive landscape in which our strategies operate. A solid grasp of PowerPoint and Excel is critical for success.
You will liaise with the Product Specialist to communicate investment performance, market perspectives, and product positioning. The role includes an investment reporting element, requiring the delivery of high-quality, timely investment reports for a diverse client base. Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills are essential, particularly given the high-value nature of the client relationships involved.
Additionally, the Product Analyst will participate in regular investment meetings and should have an interest in or understanding of fixed income and equity markets. This dynamic position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities, and demonstrates exceptional diligence and communication skills.
In return, the role offers the opportunity to develop deep product knowledge across public markets, gain exposure to the investment decision-making process (e.g. credit and equity research), and establish a strong foundation for a career in investment management.
