Join the Securitised Products (“SP”) European Business Management team that provides day-to-day operating leverage to the SP business, whilst simultaneously helping to shape and execute long-term strategic change be that driven by commercial, regulatory,  or control needs.  In role, you will be responsible for the implementation of key strategic programs as well as regulatory initiatives as required. You will also work with a number of teams and stakeholders across the firm in order to propose and deliver solutions to streamline and improve broken processes, strengthen controls, meet regulatory requirements, manage and coordinate new product development processes.  You will also be involved in analysis of various MI sources will be undertaken to provide insight to the Business Head and senior Business Managers, as well as assisting in ongoing monitoring and forecasting of key financial resource metrics (LBS, RWA, P&L, RoTE).

Essential skills:

  • Understanding of Investment Banking
  • Prior experience in Finance or Accounting (LBS, RWA, P&L)
  • Prior experience gained working within Financial Markets.
  • Stakeholder management

  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with internal partners and the ability to build on and establish new relationships.
  • Attention to detail whilst also being ultimately focused on delivery
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential, sensitive, and legally privileged information.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office packages.

This role will be based at 1 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London.

Purpose of the role

Accountabilities

  • Collaboration with business and senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaison between different business units and functions, fostering communication and collaboration.
  • Management and coordination of strategic initiatives, projects, and change management efforts to optimize business processes and strengthen the control environment.
  • Improvement of operational efficiency within the organisation including the identification of areas for improvement, streamlining of processes, and implementation of best practices to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Development of performance reporting for key metrics that reinforce the strategic objectives of the division and support the external commitments made. Involvement in aspects of financial analysis and budget management, including assistance in financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring of financial performance against targets.
  • Support to business heads in partnership with HR on hiring, workforce planning, joiner/mover/leaver actions.
