Explore locationJoin us as a Senior Propositions & Engagement Manager- Savings at Barclays where you’ll be primarily responsible for leading the full product lifecycle engagement strategy for savings, driving acquisition activities to attract new deposits, deepening savings relationships with existing customers, and ensuring great saving product & balance retention outcomes. You’ll shape and execute strategic plans, providing leadership across acquisition, engagement, and retention activities while partnering closely with customer, marketing and product and proposition teams. You will also influence and collaborate across the organisation to deliver effective execution and measurable growth in deposits.
To be successful as a Senior Propositions & Engagement Manager- Savings, you should have experience with:
Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide teams and drive high‑quality execution
Background in marketing or customer engagement, with good understanding of customer behaviour and activation
Great stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders up to Director level
Experience in defining and shaping strategy within a commercial or product‑focused environment
Great business acumen with the ability to interpret performance drivers and make informed decisions
Solid understanding of customer metrics and how to use them to improve engagement and outcomes
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for analysis, storytelling, and executive‑level communication
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience in proposition development, particularly within customer‑focused or product‑led environments
Background in retail savings, with understanding of market drivers, customer behaviours, and competitive positioning
Experience working with retail products, ideally spanning product design, management, or lifecycle activities
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role can be based in either London, Glasgow, Manchester or Northampton.
Purpose of the role
To manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; and where applicable, ownership of related customer and colleague journeys, develops the product strategy, drive change through Barclays execution teams, make key decisions in the product lifecycle and own associated outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank, achieved through appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls.
