Join us as an “Macro TSA AVP” at Barclays Trade and Sales Assistant function is a dedicated function sat within the Front Office to ensure the timely and accurate capture of contractual obligations on the Firm’s systems across the Macro Business.  This involves the entering and accepting the economic terms of any trades into Trade Capture Systems, inclusive of subsequent Risk Modifying Activities on that trade, and encompasses a broad range of Trade Capture activity types and systems.  This is to meet both our regulatory and internal control requirements.

To be a successful " Macro TSA AVP" - candidate will be part of the Macro Mumbai TSA team, which manages specific trade capture and closely related functions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.  The team helps maintain a high degree of accuracy around trade capture, which is crucial to the firm's risk management and accurate books and records.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as Day to day interactions with both Rates Sales & Trading as well as infrastructure departments (Markets Operations, Technology, Finance, Market Risk).  

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/finance.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral/written). 
  • Knowledge of Markets (IRS, FX & Bonds).
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Organized, superior attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Understand the Front to Back lifecycle of a trade and its associated risks to the firm and to clients.
  • Experience gained in high volume House and client service environment.
  • Knowledge of Markets (FX, Rates). 
  • Knowledge of Python & SQL.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Primary Support to FX, Rates Trading & Sales.
  • Trade Capture.
  • Past Trade Activities (product dependent but includes and is not limited to Allocations and Life Cycling activities).
  • Position Changes (Novations, Terminations (Full & Partial), NPVs).
  • Perform novation/termination on vendor platforms like Capitolis and Markitwire for and FX/Rates.
  • Capturing quotes in Barclays systems to meet regulatory requirements, through continuous engagement with Rates Sales and Trading.
  • Responsible for exception and query management.
  • Adhere to a ‘right first time’ policy on all risk modifying activities.
  • Production of bespoke reports for all products covered (FX and Rates). 
  • Liaise with internal counterparts (i.e. Sales, Trading, Legal, Infrastructure Middle Office, Confirmation and Settlements, Finance, Compliance, New Product Services, Collateral Ops).

This role will be based out of NKP in Mumbai.

Purpose of the role

To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions and handling administrative tasks, and providing market information and research. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals on the trading desks, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted trading activities.
  • Coordination of trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Maintenance and updating of trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
  • Reports, presentations, and documentation preparation to support sales and trading activities.
  • Monitoring of market data and assist in the analysis of financial information for trading decisions.
  • Operational tasks such as processing trades, confirming orders, and resolving trade discrepancies.
