Quant Full Stack Developers, working within Mumbai Quant team, help build and maintain end-to-end applications and frameworks that support our trading and business activities. The successful candidate is expected to engage in full stack product development, creating user-friendly interfaces and robust backend systems with production-quality code.

To be successful as an "Assistant VP - Quant Developer", you should have experience with:
Basic/ Essential Qualifications:
* Develop and maintain full stack applications with Python backend and Angular frontend.
* Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs for financial data processing and analytics.
* Create responsive, intuitive user interfaces for trading and risk management applications.
* Develop high-throughput data pipelines from internal Trading Systems and market data feeds.
* Build microservices and automation tools relevant to trading operations.
* Implement real-time data streaming and caching solutions for market data.
* Support migration to cloud infrastructure and modern deployment practices.
* Collaborate with sales & trading desks, product teams, and IT departments to deliver business solutions.
* Gather requirements from business users and translate them into technical specifications.
* Drive communication and shared accountability across cross-functional teams.
* Strong production-quality coding experience in Python with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
* Proficient in Angular (TypeScript/JavaScript) for frontend development.
Desirable skillsets/ good to have:
* Experience with REST API design and development.
* Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
* Understanding of modern web development practices (responsive design, state management, testing).
* Good understanding of financial markets and instruments, particularly equities.
* Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
* Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Understanding of Prime Brokerage services and securities financing business.
* Experience with modern frontend tools (Angular CLI, RxJS, NgRx).
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
* Experience working in financial services or trading environments.
* Knowledge of market data vendors and financial data formats.
This role will be based out of Nirlon Knowledge Park, Mumbai.
Purpose of the role
Desk Analysts cover relevant sectors and credits and watch for news events. Desk Analysts work with Traders and Salespeople to convey company and market updates internally and externally to clients. Desk Analysts build financial models for the purpose of forecasting financial performance and evaluating capital structure opportunities. Desk Analysts spend significant time researching relevant companies and their industries to identify emerging trends which will impact subject company performance. Diligence consists of reading and understanding industry press, company financial reports and documents, expert interviews, and meeting with company management teams.
