Barclays' award-winning Credit Research team empowers internal and external clients to make well-informed investment choices by providing expert insights. Covering Investment Grade, High Yield, Emerging Markets, Municipals, and Credit Strategy, this team offers actionable insights and innovative products daily. Credit Research analysts focus on specific sectors, conducting company and industry analysis. They collaborate with both internal departments (trading, sales, investment banking) and external clients (money managers, pension funds, hedge funds) regularly to enhance credit market evaluation. This dynamic role involves close collaboration with Sales & Trading, offering a fast-paced, engaging experience.
As a graduate analyst, you'll be guided by a senior analyst, employ critical thinking to provide insights for investment theses and reports. Responsibilities include analyzing macro industry trends, maintaining financial models, gathering and interpreting data, crafting client-centric marketing materials, and possibly participating in client interactions. Moreover, you'll collaborate with our Quantitative Portfolio Strategies and Data Science teams, gaining insights into advanced financial analysis and staying abreast of the field's latest developments.

Who we're looking for
To be considered for this program, you must be motivated and curious and be in your final year of study at an undergraduate degree program.
Ideally, you'll have a GPA of 3.2 or above. You'll have an interest in business and finance, a good work ethic and be keen to learn and develop a technical skill set.
Candidates will haveadvanced knowledge of accounting, bond math, corporate financial valuation methods, financial modelling and the marketand basic knowledge of Bloomberg. You'll have intermediate knowledge of derivative valuation methodsand basic knowledge of statistical methods. A knowledge of fixed income securities is preferred but not essential. You'll have the ability to prioritize numerous tasks independently, demonstrated through work experience.
Working in New York
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
