Explore locationThe High Yield Credit Research Analyst at Barclays is responsible for providing fundamental credit analysis and investment recommendations on sub-investment-grade issuers within the Financials and Media sectors. The role supports trading, sales, and institutional clients by delivering timely, actionable research on capital structures, credit quality, and relative value across high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and related credit instruments.
To be successful as a High Yield Credit Research Analyst, you should have:
An understanding of high yield credit markets, leveraged finance, and fixed income valuation
Sector knowledge of Financials and Media, including regulatory, technological, and structural trends
High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and ability to perform under tight deadlines
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Ample written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate analysis into actionable insights
Advanced financial modeling and accounting skills
The ability to analyze complex capital structures and distressed or event-driven credit situations
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in the New York, NY office.
This role is regulated by FINRA
Minimum Salary: $125,000
Maximum Salary: $175,000
