Become a part of Barclays US Trade and Working Capital Operations team as a US Letter of Credit Analyst where you will be responsible for timely execution of request from clients, both internal and external with respect to issuing, confirming, advising, and amending letters of credit under Standby and Trade Letters of Credit. This is an amazing opportunity to highlight your experience and knowledge as we begin our US trade expansion. A new state-of-the-art system is being implemented know as Trade 360, and our Letter of Credit team is growing. Now is an exciting time for new joiners to be a part of this expansion.

This role would site someone with a confirmed tract record of:

•    Experience in drafting/reviewing a standby letter of credit issuance, confirmation, or advise wording/language
•    Ability to understand and interpret several types of Standby letter of credit wording/language such as but not limited to insurance, municipal and lease
•    Good verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
•    Ability to work independently, flexible, and handle high volumes of transactions
•           Experience in Letter of Credit Issuances, Confirmation, Advise and Amendments (Standby letters of credit)
•    Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
•    Explain our Letter of Credit process and Letter of Credit requirements to our business partners and internal counterparts
•    Knowledge and understanding of Sanctions, OFAC, AML, Anti-Boycott regulations, and LC Industry standards UCP600, ISP98

•    A working knowledge of SWIFT Messaging
•    Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
•    Provide support and share best practices and knowledge across team

This role is based in New York, NY

Minimum Salary: $80,000.00
Maximum Salary: $96,250.00

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.


Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
