Explore locationStep into the role of Vice President, Insurance Coverage – International Corporate Banking Americas at Barclays. As a Vice President within our Insurance Coverage team in ICB Americas, you’ll be at the forefront of our mission: partnering directly with client treasury departments to deliver tailored solutions across debt and trade products. Your focus will be on driving revenue, identifying cross-product opportunities, and leading high-impact client meetings with a consultative, sales-driven approach. We’re looking for someone who understands the complexity of insurance portfolios and can translate treasury insights into actionable ideas. This is a high-visibility role where your expertise and energy will help shape how we grow and serve this critical client segment.
To be successful as a Vice President, Insurance Coverage - International Corporate Banking Americas, you should have:
Practical experience working with insurance clients and their treasury functions across investment and corporate banking
The ability to generate income through debt and trade products aligned with insurance portfolio needs
A grasp of capital markets, structured finance, and liquidity management strategies
Confidence and clarity in leading client meetings with a solutions-oriented, commercial mindset
The ability to manage execution across internal teams and deliver complex financial solutions
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Background in a client-side treasury department in a financial institution
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting insurance investments (e.g., NAIC, Solvency II)
Strategic thinking with the ability to spot cross-product opportunities and drive multi-product engagement
Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build long-term client relationships
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in New York.
Minimum Salary: $145,000
Maximum Salary: $215,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
