Barclays Capital Inc. seeks Vice President – Trading in New York, NY (multiple positions available):
Drive market making activities for institutional clients in Equity and Equity linked products across cash, options, futures and ETFs.
As Derivative and Cash Trader, responsible for developing systematic trading strategies and managing portfolio level risk for the trading desk responsible for centralizing execution capabilities for the Equities division in New York.
Deploy automated trading capabilities to streamline workflows for the desk.
Build analytical tools and execution algorithms that take advantage of nuanced market structures in various electronic equity exchanges and trading venues.
Conduct rigorous Backtesting and performance analysis of trading models to ensure robustness and profitability.
Collaborate with research team to stay up-to-date on market trends and develop new trading strategies, including equities, derivatives, and ETFs.
Engage with clients to understand their needs, present strategies, provide insights into market dynamics. Identify and capitalize on trading opportunities with customers.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients. Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
May telecommute.
Minimum Salary: $192,000 per year
Maximum Salary: $218,000 per year
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
This position is eligible for an incentive award.
Purpose of the role
To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions.
