In the role of VP - Planning and Stress Testing (MEx), you will play a key leadership role within the Finance function, with responsibility for forecasting multiple business specific Pre-Provision Net Revenues (PPNR) and Balance Sheets. You will work cross-functionally with teams across Finance, Quantitative Analytics, Treasury, Risk, and the Business to support multiple internal and external use cases, including but not limited to strategic planning and regulatory submissions. You will also engage in model development/redevelopment, model monitoring, IVU feedback, results validation, and ensuring proper governance.

To be successful as a VP - Planning and Stress Testing (MEx), you should have experience with:

  • Leading and managing a team

  • Excellent modeling, forecasting, and financial analytics skills

  • Sound understanding of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Internal Controls

  • Investment Banking products

  • Ability to brainstorm and deep dive as needed to meet deliverables on time

  • Exceptional communication, both verbal and written, along with presentation skills and confident engaging with senior stakeholders and regulators

Some other highly valued skills include:

  • Bachelor of Science/Business Administration degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

  • 7+ years of relevant experience

  • The ability to be collaborative within a team environment

  • Considerable organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines

  • Possess intermediate or advanced Microsoft excel skills

This role is located in New York, NY.

Minimum Salary: $160,000

Maximum Salary: $210,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To develop strategic infrastructure requirements, onboard current model suite & new quantitative model methodologies, redevelop models based on monitoring, IVU feedback and business changes and perform validation process. 

Accountabilities

  • Delivery of advanced model analytics, improve stability and bring consistency in calculation approach.
  • Leading technical engagements with QA and IVU for strategic redevelopment project on behalf of FTC.
  • Provision of model execution, output analysis and lifecycle management capabilities across use cases for both forecasting and BAU models.
  • Implementation of process improvements though enhanced controls, automation and improved analytics.
  • Delivery of advanced model analytics (Recalibration, Sensitivity, root cause analysis etc.).
  • Controls and testing:  Addressing execution issues with IT and QA, Perform UAT as part of model product ionisation.
  • Cataloguing of issues, potential improvement for model redevelopment, authoring technical documentation with QA.
