To be a successful "Assistant Manager ", you should have experience with (Mandatory):

  • Essential experience of end-to-end Purchase to Pay (P2P) process within Global environment in the area of Accounts Payable and Invoice Forensics activities.
  • Lead Change Management for Invoice Forensics in terms of identification of Opportunity, qualitative and quantitative materialization of Benefits, Testing, Defect Management and monitor sustainability of change post go-live.
  • Experience in review, validation and reconciliation of statement of account and expertise in the recovery of outstanding from the suppliers.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement to streamline the internal process and minimize supplier outstanding recoveries in future.
  • Exposure to supplier contracts review, rigorous invoice scrutiny and invoice payment analysis to validate with the commercial terms in a contract.
  • Working knowledge of Withholding Tax rules and process across various regions and to work with tax teams, business and suppliers to ensure Tax compliance.
  • Ability to create quality reports and dashboards for presentation to leadership teams.

  • Excellent Communication skill both written and verbal.
  • Experience of procurement Systems including SAP, Coupa and added advantage of other tools within Procurement Operations team.
  • Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel, MS power point and MS Word skills.
  • Excellent Analytical skills with the ability to deep dive into large data and to conduct thorough accounting review.  Eye for detail with logical problem-solving skills.
  • Required to manage complex queries/problems and should be able to provide solutions/recommendations.
  • Well organized and able to priorities tasks, using judgement to manage/escalate issues.
  • Good interpersonal/stakeholder management skills and ability to interact at all levels.
  • Develops effective peer and working relationships within/across teams.
  • Ability to assimilate new information and quickly adapt to new environment/new role.
  • Well verse with Barclay’s Risk and Controls framework, Procurement Controls requirements & RCSA.
  • Understands SOX & NON-SOX controls applicable to procurement processes.
  • Experience of supporting internal & external audits.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
