Explore locationJoin us at Barclays as a Controls Data Analyst. We are seeking a data analyst to drive continuous improvement and change management for detective controls platform. This role involves defining control requirements, conducting impact assessments, supporting UAT, and managing migration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure controls meet business needs and align with tech and quality standards, helping identify and mitigate customer detriment across BUK.
To be successful as a Controls Data Analyst, you should have experience with:
Control Management: Experience in developing and maintaining detective controls that ensure effective monitoring, compliance, and risk mitigation.
SQL: Ability to write and interpret queries to extract, analyse, and validate data for control performance and business insight.
Project Management: Advanced capability to manage timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver change initiatives successfully.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Understanding of Data Warehouse / Cloud Structures: Knowledge of modern data platforms and architectures to support scalable and efficient control solutions.
Stakeholder Management: Confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, managing expectations, and driving consensus across business and technology teams.
Risk and Control: Skilled in identifying operational risks and designing effective controls to mitigate potential customer and business impact.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role has the option to work from either Northampton or Knutsford.
Purpose of the role
To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.
