Explore locationAs a Credit Risk Analyst, you will leverage data analytics to optimize risk/reward decisions within BUK Unsecured Lending, covering various products and new launches. You will design credit policies across the customer lifecycle, ensuring loss rates stay within risk appetite while achieving expected rewards. Supporting the commercial team, you will align with business goals and conduct in-depth analysis on portfolios using data from various sources. You will develop reports to establish credit performance and contribute to monthly Risk Management Committee and senior
stakeholder meetings, providing ad-hoc insights and support to the wider CRO teams.
Key accountabilities include sourcing data from various warehouses and partners, producing high-quality recommendations for underwriting strategy and exposure optimization, and providing insights to support risk strategies and P&L/impairment targets. You will monitor credit
policy performance, highlight trends, and drive corrective actions. Additionally, you will produce and maintain BAU reports, respond to senior
management requests with clear and accurate data, and communicate proposed strategy changes effectively to team leaders and stakeholders. You will influence ongoing communications with senior business stakeholders, including Finance, CRO, Decision Analytics, and Commercial heads.
To be successful as a Credit Risk Analyst, you should have experience with
Practical experience in using analytics to solve complex problems.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation, and logical functions.
Proficiency in SAS/SQL or similar software packages.
Proficiency in PowerPoint.
Ability to challenge and speak up to drive the right outcomes for the business and customers.
Capability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Academic background in a mathematical discipline such as mathematics, statistics, or physics.
