Why the Capital Markets Graduate Programme?
In Investment Banking, we help some of the world’s biggest, most innovative businesses, and some of the world’s, most influential organisations, to achieve their short and long-term goals. The challenges in this part of our business come in all shapes and sizes. They range from acquisitions, financings, divestitures and restructurings to leveraged buyouts, exclusive sales and takeover defence.
The chance to make an impact on this programme, you’ll develop specialist expertise as a banker, there are several teams that specialise in different areas – including equity and debt origination, loans, structuring, risk management and syndication. You’ll get a unique insight into our work from colleagues across Barclays, and take on your own projects with our full support. You’ll start with intensive training focused on developing skills in a particular area.
You’ll also:
• Work on live deals and deal proposals
• Prepare new business presentations
• Learn the art of executing transactions
1-2 year targeted, fast-track programme focused on developing specialist technical expertise.

Who we're looking for
To be considered for this programme, you must be motivated and curious with a degree or expected degree – in any area. Language requirements: fluent in English and French.
Ideally, you will have an interest in business and finance, a good work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your skill set, allowing you to deliver the best products to our clients.
This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

Working in Paris

Purpose of the role
To participate in the day-to-day activities of the capital markets division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.
