Explore locationAs Financial Controller VP at Barclays Bank Europe, you will work in a challenging role which is responsible for all aspects of financial and statistical regulatory reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
You will be a subject matter expert for all French financial reporting, helping the bank affectively it maximises its capability to onboard the new European headquarters in Paris. You will be a subject matter expert in French GAAP, French Statutory Reporting & Financial Reporting.
What we’re looking for:
• Extensive experience of French GAAP and IFRS accounting and extensive experience of France Regulatory Reporting (e.g., Statistical, Anacredit)
• Professional accountancy qualification from a recognised body (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CA, DSCG, DEC, or equivalent), with significant post qualification experience
• Excellent written and oral business communication skills with fluency in both French and English
• Extensive leadership experience gained through a variety of channels including projects, direct and matrix management
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
